Privacy Policy

Your wedding plans should stay yours.

Sama collects only the information needed to help couples find vendors, help vendors manage inquiries, and keep the platform reliable.

Draft policy for launch readiness. Last updated May 12, 2026. This page should be reviewed by counsel before a larger public launch.

Information we collect

We collect account details, vendor profile information, inquiry details, saved vendors, messages, uploaded files, reviews, and planning preferences that users choose to provide. We also collect basic technical information such as IP address, browser details, timestamps, and security logs.

How we use it

We use this information to create accounts, publish approved vendor profiles, send inquiries and messages, manage leads, improve recommendations, prevent abuse, send account notifications, and operate the Wilmington wedding marketplace.

What becomes public

Approved vendor profiles may show business name, category, location, website, public contact preferences, photos, pricing, reviews, services, venues worked, FAQ, and other profile details the vendor saves for public display. Private dashboard notes, account settings, messages, and client planning details are not public.

Messages and files

Messages and uploaded files are used to support vendor-client communication, vendor teams, and platform moderation. We do not sell private messages or planning files. Admin access should be limited to support, safety, moderation, and debugging needs.

Vendors, clients, and notifications

When a couple inquires, saves a vendor, sends a message, or books a lead, Sama may notify the relevant vendor. When a vendor replies or updates a lead, Sama may notify the client. Users can manage some notification preferences from their dashboard where available.

Service providers

Sama uses infrastructure and service providers for hosting, database storage, email delivery, file storage, transcription, AI summaries, and security. These providers process information only as needed to run the platform.

Your choices

Vendors can edit or pause their public profile from the dashboard. Users may request account help, data export, correction, or deletion by contacting Sama. Some records may be retained when required for security, audit, dispute, or legal reasons.

Contact

For privacy questions or account requests, contact the Sama team through the email address listed on the platform or through your account dashboard.
